2025…

The first half of the year and the first half of the second half weren’t much different from 2024.

Vague thoughts, half-hearted job hunting, and then…

I broke up with my girlfriend.

They say it takes a big shock to change a person. I think there might be some truth to that.

I guess some things really have to hurt before you learn your lesson.

Maybe I forgot the saying, “Don’t let familiarity make you lose sight of what’s precious.”

I was probably too arrogant.

Sometimes, when I think back on it, I feel good about the memories, but at the same time, I also feel regret, guilt, and a strange mix of emotions.

There were so many ordinary little moments that, looking back, make me realize that I was actually happy back then.

At the same time, I started to see things in the way I treated her and the mindset I had that I needed to change.

I suppose it’s because I kept thinking about it over and over again, with all kinds of emotions mixed in, that I started noticing all the things I wish I had done differently.

In a way, I ended up learning more through the breakup and came to appreciate the value of someone’s presence.

Maybe that’s a sign that I’m becoming a better person than I was before.

The year went by much like the previous one, but the breakup had such a huge impact that, honestly, I don’t remember much else happening.

Oh, right. I started working at Starbucks.

The employee discount is pretty nice, though.

At the beginning of this year, I set a goal to get a job and move out in 2025, but I didn’t accomplish a single one of them.

Instead, I ended up going through a breakup that wasn’t even part of the plan…

Regrets are regrets, but there’s no need to carry them around as guilt.

Let’s get my head straight and keep moving forward. I don’t want to look back and regret things anymore.

I’m already looking forward to next year’s reflection. I wonder if anything will have changed?
